Many ISPs set a limit as to the number of recipients to per message as
an anti-spam measure. For some the limit is as low as 5 or 10. Ask
your ISP what their limit is.
Or try sending the message with fewer and fewer recipients until it
works. You'll need to delete the failed messages from the Outbox before
retrying because the failed message will still be there and OE will try
to send it again until it either works or you delete it.

I am running OE6 and XP sp 2. This started a couple of weeks ago. We
use
charter for e-mail. Can receive mail fine and can send out to one
recipient.
Cannot send to a distribution list (group). This particular group has
around 25 members. I get the message:
An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Testing', Account:
'pop.charter.net', Server: 'mail.charter.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '421 Message rejected', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error:
421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67
Does anyone have a clue? I have called charter, but their standard
response
is if you can do it through the web client, then it isn't our problem.
I
think it is something to do with their spam blocking, but maybe it
could be
an outlook express problem.
Thanks in advance.
