Default mail comes in to OE but won't SEND

[psst Never use or post your real email address in a public newsgroup or
forum. Why? See below).]

Did you read KB813514 and try the resolutions in it? Have you disabled
email scanning by your anti-virus application?

The only part I left out of the error message isthis: Some errors occurred
while processing the rrquested task. Your server has unexpectedly
terminated the connection. possible causes for this include server
problems, network problems,or a long period of inactivity.account: X XXXXX
server smtp iinet.com .. the rest of the report is in my origianl post. I
went to the support page given but it wasn't any help. I can connect to
the internet, and my INCOMING mail is working just fine. Only the OUTGOING
mail is NOT working. More ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Always post the complete error message (munge you email address as
needed).

Troubleshooting error messages that you receive when you are using OL and
OE
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514

Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection and even Symantec says it's not necessary:

QP
Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses
that are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect
scans incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including
email and email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top
of this. To make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum
protection, keep Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to
ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions.
