What was the old newsserver? What's the new one? If your ISP told you they
were switching newsservers, why did you assume the old one would (still)
work? Have you contacted your ISP or the newsserver admin and asked why
you're unable to post messages?
If you get an error message when attempting to post via the new newsserver,
post it in a reply to this thread in its entirety.
PS: microsoft.public.developer.outlook is not a valid newsgroup.

Hello,
My ISP's Newsserver was not working one day and the ISP send me an e-mail
informing me that they are switching to a new newserver at a new dns
address.
I tried updating my news account to the new news address.
However the new newsserver was not working properly. (Could not post
messages).
Now I tried switching back to the old newsserver address and now the news
account doesn't seem to work properly anymore...
No new messages are downloaded ?!?
Is there anyway to "restore" a news account in outlook express ?
What I did for now is:
Create a new news account.
This sucks however because then I have to re-add all newsgroups ?!
Alternatively:
Would be nice if the old newsgroup list could be copied to a new news
account.
Bye,
Skybuck.
