So define who "I" is and who the user with the right level of permissions
is. Because now you have 2 people involved and it is not clear who is
having a problem. The owner or the editor.
1. Has the person tried right clicking an appointment in the Public Calendar
and editing the labels?
2. Is there a difference between Calendar items they they made and trying to
edit ones someone else made?

You could ask the IT people who made the Public Folder and manage it to
give
you a higher level of Permission to the Public Folder.

Hello all
I have noticed that when I place a calender object in the public
folders
it
does not allow me to change the calendar categories. Is there a way
around
this other then copying the calendar back into my "user" area from the
public
folder and then put it back ?
