Default Upgrading Office XP to 2007 Outlook problem

If you located an Archive.pst its a seperate data file, which you can have
open within OL - its file structure will be the same as your default pst

System restore wont do anything to data

thanks for the response. i looked for those earlier and you may be right
about it using a different data file name. i found pst file but it
creates
an archive underneath the inbox instead of the inbox itself, so there are
2
inboxes, which just doesnt work.

so with the full version of new office 2007, can i just do a system
restore
and try it all over again or will that have disastrous consequences?

so thanks, microsoft. the easy migration is easy for everything except
the
most important program...

Sound like its using a different data file
Within OL, FileOpenData File....see if it finds anymore

Or search, to include hidden, for *.pst
see what you find

I just upgraded from Office XP (w/ outlook 2002) and after the program
automatically migrated data over, all my emails from the last 6 months
are
nowhere to be found. Anyone have bright ideas on where to find/recover
this
pst? older ones are there, recent ones not. all of the rules and
subfolders
disappeared as well. this is on a 3 month old vista machine.

I used the "upgrade" option rather than "customize". should i do a
system
restore and start from scratch?
