You could increase the server timeout for the news server to reduce the
frequency of the warning. Try a minute or two. (Tools, Accounts, News,
Properties, Advanced). Each server has its own timeout value.

The timeout is how long OE will wait for a response from the server
before it considers that there is a problem.

That you get the warning often suggests that your ISPs news server is
too busy. Going to another news server won't necessarily be any better.
