Tools | Options | Security tab
see if "Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail" is checked,
if so, uncheck it then try to open it again.

If no luck there, START | Control Panel | Internet Options
Click on the Delete Files button then check the box to "Delete offline
content"
Click OK

Now see if the message will display them.
