Default OE won't start after upgrading to WinXP from Win98 SE

You won't have a folder called Store Folder.
The name Store Folder comes from the button you click on to learn the
location of the OE files.
In OE, Tools, Options, Maintenance tab, Store Folder button,

Do a Search for *.dbx and see if you have any other folders with dbx files.
Be sure to include hidden files in the search.

Just a follow up note in reference to my earlier post and those offering
help.

One of the things I noticed in trying to use URL posted for me
[http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/probl....htm#550relay] pertains to
the
checking of the "Store" folder. I don't even have a folder named "Store"
in
my system. In fact, in the "Application Data Identities" section, what
appears is the folder (just one) with a lot of letters and numbers, and
inside that there's only two folders. One is "Outlook" and the other is
"Outlook Express." I have not ever used the program "Outlook" by the way,
so
not sure why it installed unless it is a part of Windows XP. Both of those
folders are empty (see note below abt. removing the dbx files), no other
folders exist there.

I did try to fix this problem by removing all of the DBX files from the
Outlook Express folder -- stored them in another folder on my desktop for
now. Should I create a folder with the heading of "Store" in the Outlook
Express folder and try putting these back into that folder? Or should I
just
reload WinXP again?

Hoping to get this working, sure would like all of my mail in one area as
well as access my newsgroups. sigh Maybe I should have kistened to the
technicians and just stayed with Windows 98 SE?
