7MB is a decent size. That well may be the problem. About 33% is added for
encoding as well and it ends up larger. Does this wav file have vocal?
Instrumental wavs are relatively small.

As far as a MP3, that would have to be attached. OE doesn't recognize tem
for background.

I created a small .gif animation and sent it with OE and a song inserted
