Default how do i transfer outlook express rules to microsoft outlook?

Thanx Brian, for the advice on the blocked senders, I think you're
right...I'll just follow that route.

As far as rules import into Outlook goes: there is no RULES option when I
follow the steps you suggest, only an IMPORT MAIL and an IMPORT ADDRESS BOOK
option. Could you advise further?

Outlook

For rules, in Outlook click FileImport and ExportImport INternet Mail and
AddressesNext. Select Outlook Express. Uncheck everything but Rules.
Click Finish. Be aware that not all OE rules can be imported. Some do not
exist in Outlook, such as the rules that selectively avoid downloading.

As for the Blocked Sender List in Outlook Express, that's kept in the
registry at key
HKCU\Identitied\{large number}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Blocked Senders\Mail\Criteria\000, 001, 002, 003, and so on, one
enter for each sender address. Conceivably you could export these keys and
then edit the result with Notepad to remove all but the addresses, then
import the resulting file into the Outlook Blocked Senders list, but I think
that 1) the Blocked Senders list is virtually worthless for eliminating junk
mail, if that's what you're using it for, because spammers don't reuse
addresses and 2) it would probably be less trouble to reenter the addresses
by hand than it would be to go through what I described for editing the
list.
