Hi PA Bear, Am glad to say that I havenothad the 'cannot display'
problem since Nov 8 when I reformatted and reinstalled XP Home SP2
(with all 90+ updates). I read sj...'s post that he can induce the
problem in the same manner as Icould(madly scrolling an HTML email)
before my reinstall BUT he goes further and suggests the cause may be
McAfee Site Advisor build 2.5. I think he may be on to something in
that I had IE6 with McAfee Site Advisor on my computer pre the
reinstall and now have IE7 BUT WITHOUT the McAfee SA addon whichcould
explain why I am now free of the OE6 "cannot display" problem. Sure
hope sj... is right. BTW I use Firefox, with McAfee Site Advisor, as
my default browser. JackR

QED: Did you back-up your OE data and then import it into OE after the
wipe
& reload?

Yes, I have all my emails back in working order, There are 196 folders
(dbx files) occupying 747 MBs. JackR

Have you also enabled "Read all messages in plain text" option?

Was Site Advisor installed as a component of another McAfee application
(e.g., McAfee Internet Security/Security Center), did you install the
freebie version? Was it Site Advisor Plus?
