Jim I am not sure whay you mean by the Message Store, I do compact the
folders each week. As for checking I have been into the outlook express site
and verified the downloads have been carried out. Also one other suggestion
from the Microsoft page was make sure you have XP installed with SP2, plus
all updates this has been done.

Running XP Home SP2. All windows updates on computer. McAfee Virus Scan,
Spybot S & D, Ad-Aware SE, Trend Micro, Windows Defender 2, Registry
Mechanic. Have all been run for Virus checks.
