Default outlook express 6.0

Melvingene,
Look at the account settings window for this account, on the Advance Tab.
You might have the PORT settings backwards, then what you have listed here.
The error indicates that you are trying to access the Incoming Mail server
through PORT: 465, not 995. On the Advance tab for the account settings, OE
has the Port setting listed the opposite as what OUTLOOK does.

I am having a problem with Outlook Express 6.0 sending and receive mail. I
had ATT my ISP provider to use remote assistance to set the POP and SMTP
numbers and POP and SMTP address on my computer on line. We opened the
Outlook express window and pressed receive all. THEN we received this
message: The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 465,
Secure (SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

pop.att.yahoo.com smtp.att.yahoo.com

Incoming mail server: POP3
Outgoing mail server: Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Incoming mail port #: 995, secure connection (SSL) checked
Outgoing mail port #: 465, secure connection (SSL) checked

How do I resolve the socket error? The information above is what was
inputted.
We went to: Accounts, Mail, Properties, Advanced, and then Servers
