Wonderful! Now Mr. Lederle is copying my reply to another post and pasting
it in here instead of answering the questions that were asked.

Thanks for the quick turn around. Like I wrote, this is my first posting
and may not have asked the question in the proper
manor. As stated previously, I am using Windows XP/sp2. I did NOT have
to
install OE6 as I wrote, but rather
had to set up my inernet connection and with my mail account. I had to
replace a hard drive, and had only saved data
files as backups. When creating the account I was asked for incoming and
outgoung servers and if my ISP requires
password valadition. (not required that I know of) In any case, I
submitted
my PASSWORD whenever it was required,
and even checked the 'remember pw' box.
Now I must key in my pw every time I 'get mail'. I am trying to find a
remedy to NOT have to enter my pw every time.
Since this problem started, I no longer have the ability to 'spell
check', and the spelling line in the tools drop down menu is greyed out.
What's going on?
Thanks,
Art Lederle
