I don't know what you mean by the "application data" folder, unless you mean
the directory of dbx files. The size of a dbx file is often unrelated to
the number of messages in it. You can have huge dbx files, but they have
nothing in them, as they are either corrupt or empty.
You can try something like DBXtract on the file to see if you can get
anything out of it, if you want, but I suspect it doesn't have any messages
in it. See here for message recovery techniques.

Hi all,
Thank you for the assistance yesterday.
I have managed to recover some of the emails, however, I can't seem to
recover any of the emails from the Deleted Items folder, yet when I go to
the Application Data folder, it tells me that there is 70 MB of mails in
the Deleted Items folder, yet in Outlook Express nothing shows up in that
particular folder. It won't let me recover these mails, yet they show up
in Application Data.
Could someone please suggest a way of recovering these emails if at all
possible?
Many thanks,
Antony
