Default Does Outlook have a .ini file pointing to outlook.pst?

No, you simply move the pst-file when Outlook is closed and when you open
Outlook again it will nag for the new location.

I want to position my Outlook Today file outlook.pst in a folder that I
can
easily back-up each month.

Is there an .ini or .dat file that holds the pointer that tells Outlook
where to look for the Outlook Today file? Then I could change the pointer
and
move the outlook.pst file to an appropriate folder.
