Default Configuring Outlook to Scan to E-mail

Thanks Michael. I tried both of your suggestions below, but I still have the
same problem of not being able to attach from e-mail. I have been using the
manual method of attaching from file. Maybe, I'll consider updating my
outlook software.
Thanks again.

Outlook Express is a SIMPLE MAPI mail client. If you scanner software
requires a FULL MAPI mail client, you won't be able to use it directly
with Outlook Express. You would need a program such as
Outlook97/98/200+ (part of Office).

If you scanner software should work with a SIMPLE MAPI program, then
see:

OLEXP: "Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work with Outlook Express
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098

Also, in Windows XP: Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Set Program
Access and Defaults, Email and select Outlook Express.

However, you have more control if you save the image to a file from the
scanner/camera program, then start a mail message and attach the image
file. This isn't dependent on MAPI support.
