Default OE Changes Email Address In Replies

Hi,

Outlook Express will use the receiving email account to send out the reply email. Follow the steps below to see if it works.

If it is POP3 account, please add the To column in the Inbox folder.
-------------
In the Inbox folder, right click the column name and choose Columns.
Check "To", click OK.
Thus, all the emails are sent to which email account (A, B or C) will be listed in the "To" column.
When you reply to an email which sent to account A, is it using the account A or B to send out the message?

If it still using the account B, please go to Tools Accounts remove the Account B setting and test the issue. And then re-configure
the account B.

If the issue persists, create a new Identity to see if it works.
===================
1. On the "File" menu, point to "Identities", and then click "Add New Identity".
2. In the "Type your name" box, type a name for the identity.
3. Click OK and then click "Yes" to switch to the new identity.
Note: you can just click File Switch Identity to come back to the original identity.
4. When Outlook Express is started again, please reconfigure the email accounts A, B and C in Outlook Express new identity.

5. Send a test email to the Account A. Reply the test email. Is everything working fine in the new identity?

If anything is unclear or if you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Emily Lin

Hi,

My friend has a laptop running Win XP plus latest updates and uses OE for
her email. She has three email accounts set up in OE, I'll call them A, B and
C.

No matter which email account an email comes in on, when she replies OE
always inserts the email address associated with account B in to the email.
Email account B is not the default email address.

Can anyone suggest a solution?
