Configuring Outlook to Scan to E-mail

I purchased a new printer and when I try to scan a documen to e-mail, I
receive a message... my e-mail program doe not support Command set (MAPI)
to
auto attach my scan to e-mail. How can I configure my system to scan to
e-mail?
