Default Wrong language

The millions of users that, like myself, never had an Office product would
realize right away that OE did not have a spell check of its own. You don't
have to be a software geek to see that.

Many thanks Bruce.

Whilst this solves the spelling problem, I don't understand how the
average
user could be expected to know that Outlook Express does not have its own
spell check. It doesn't say on the box, and the Office 2007 box doesn't
warn
of the damage it may do to other non-supported programs.

Microsoft could try and be a bit more hepful. We're not all software
geeks.

It won't damage anything in OE, but there is a language issue that is
easily
resolved. Remember, OE has never had a spell check of its own and if you
have an Office product, it will use the spell check from Word. I have
used a
free spell check for years.

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in
Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

Office 2007 breaks OE's spell check. Downloading a free spell check is
the
simplest way around this.

TinySpell:

If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

It was suggested on the radio today that we should NOT upgrade to
OFFICE
2007
as it would damage our Outlook Express files, preventing the English
Language
dictionary from functioning.
