Default Office Pro 2007 (Beta) with Windows Mobile 2003 (4.21.1088)

By the way, the CDO download does NOT rectify the problem. Installing this
add-on does not correct the problem. And unfortunately, the installer does
not log any of this in the application or system error logs.

Sorry, but i have to admit that it is pretty lame for the Enterprise version
of Outlook2007 to be persistantly trying to configure Outlook at startup and
have the install crash due to this CDO 2711 error. That is just plain sloppy.
Doesn't anyone actually test this stuff? I can understand if the problem were
other applications, but why does Outlook persist in this? And why, having
seen this error in the beta, would Microsoft distribute production copies of
the code with this very visible error. It is quite embarrasing and I am
reluctant to let any customer see this built-in flaw.

If that's an error message about Collaboration Data Objects, it might be occurring because Outlook 2007 does not include CDO. It's a separate download -- http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en. Expect newer versions of sync software to work around this to provide better support for OL2007.

I am using Office Pro 2007 (Beta) and Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
(4.21.1088).

Every time I connect my AXIM X50v to my laptop, I get the message to "Please
Wait while Windows configures Windows Office Professional 2007 (Beta)"

Then I get "Error 2711: An internal error has occurred (Outlook CD0)"

Any idea what is going on here or how to fix it? Must I go to the newer
version of Windows Mobile?
