Thanks Diane but I'm afraid I didn't make myself clear.
I meant the bar at the top of the selected cell, today, in the calendar
grid. Meanwhile, I have discovered that it is a function of the 'Theme'
setting in the Win XP display properties. I can make it a mucky orange brown
but I don't like the rest of the changes to my desk top so I will just have
to live with it the way it is.
Thanks anyway.

No.
You can add an icon to the button name - view, toolbar, customize... right
click on the button and either choose image or edit image.

I have just upgraded to Office 2003 and in my Outlook Calendar Month
view, the 'Go to today' highlight is a wishy washy silver which is
difficult to pick out.from my white background. Is there a way to change
the colour to something a bit bolder.
I can't find anything in the options menu or on the web.
