Default Outlook 2007 clears all the emails from my Verizon in-box...He

Umm... pop access came before imap...
http://mail.google.com/mail/?hl=en&t...ings/fwdandpop (I think that
will open the right page if you are logged into your gmail acct.)

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...78&topic=12810 has
instruction on setting up up - its for outlook 2003 but it’s the same basic
method. The important this is knowing the server names and ports.

I CAN'T. Gmail says it only works with IMAP for Outlook 2007 (which is
what
I have). If you know how to set up POP to work with gmail and 2007,
please
delineate the steps for me. I need the steps anyway, for POP or IMAP.

Can anyone out there help me?

Are you using pop or imap? You need to use pop and also configure gmail's
settings (online) to not save the messages online.

I was hoping this thread could help me on a problem I'm having. But on
the
advanced tab for my gmail account, there is no box about leaving mail
on
the
isp server.

Actually, when I download, I want them gone from the server. Any ideas
on
how I can do that?

I have Outlook 2007.
