Wally,
I have noticed that when importing address book for other service and other
programs with a *.CSV file, into OutlookExpress. You sometimes need to open
the file in a spreadsheet program and add an extra column, call it "Extra".
or something. Then save it again as a *.CSV file, this will add an extra
comma (,) to each line of your data. Which allows OE to import the file
properly.

It's seems to be a complicated job to do. I have the intention to try till
success or almost success, but I need more time and appetite to do it.
Nevertheless thanks to PA Bear, Michael, mikey

Export the OE address book to a CSV file and open that in Notepad.
Also open the exported Outlook address book in Notepad. Compare the file
formats.
That you have problems importing more than one field suggests that you
have a problem with the field delimiter in the Outlook file.

1. Export your current Address Book as a TXT (CSV) file via Address Book
File Export Other Address Book ....
2. Examine the formatting of the CSV you just exported then format the
CSV exported from OL to conform to it. (MS Excel would be a handy
application to use for this.)
3. Despite the above, importing the correctly formatted CSV file from OL
might still make a mess of your current Address Book. Consider creating
a Standalone Address Book and importing the OL data into it instead.
See http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm#wabexe and note the
restrictions when using a Standalone to compose/send a message.
If/when you need to update the Standalone, delete the current one,
create a new one and then import the new data into it.

Exporting works fine.
I have MS Excel with basic knowledge, made a backup of my
Administrator.wab, and cleared the existing address book.
In Excel, all data seems to be situated in column A, and I gave order to
arrange things from AZ.
Exporting works fine. During import I have to define which field I want
to import, only one field can be chosen and I only had success by
choosing "name".
This results in a address book with only names. Repeating the process to
add more and choosing a other field results in Error while importing...
Not arranging the data from AZ is also no successful.
Your point 2. formatting the CSV will be my weak point ??
When sharing Outlook and O.E. there is a "engine" inside one of the
programs that does the transformation.
Does such engine exist in a stand alone version?
Thanks,
Wally
