Default Upgrading from outlook 2002 to 2007

I have just ordered outlook 2007 to replace the 2002 version i use.
Can i just direct outlook 2007 to my existing pst file or will that be
incompatable? Is there a recommended way to make the upgrade? I
couldn't find an upgrade version of outlook 2007 so this is a full
version.

You can tell Outlook 2007 to use the existing PST. However, you'll still be
limited in how much data you can store. The Outlook 2002 PST can be no more
than 2 GB and some people experience problems above 1.5 GB. You should
consider transferring your data to a new format PST, but you can do that at
your leisure after getting OL 2007 set up and operating.

In order to upgrade, uninstall the prior version and then install the new
version. The use the Mail applet in Control Panel to create a new mail
profile, pointing it at your existing PST and then adding your accounts.
Often, installing OL 2007 creates a new mail profile that is damaged and
many of us find it cleaner to create out own new profile. The installation
may also create a new PST which can mask the existing old PST, and that's
another reason to create a new mail profile and point it at the correct PST.
