Default Loading Outlook 2000 e-malis, contacts, calendar, etc on a new computer running Octlook 2007

When you first setup OL you had an empty Personal Folders, you then added
your old data file.
You now have 2 personal folders, you expand the old one, then drag & drop
data from old to new

You copy, then you may have to configure Contacts to use as an address
book

Good Answer! Successful opening the .pst file in OL 2007!
Now how do I get my contacts and calendar into OL 2007 from OL 2000?

You have to copy from Cd to HD, then remove the read only attribute in
file properties.
By default a file on a cd is read only

How do I transfer my Outlook 2000 contacts, calendar, e-mails, etc
from my old computer to my new computer running Outlook 2007.
I have 2 Personal Folders on Outlook 2000 - I exported/backed up the
2000 .PST files, but when I tried to restore them in Outlook 2007
itye only imported 1 of the 2 Personal Folders and NO contacts or
calendar data.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Sue

As posted here MANY times - do NOT use the import/export function to
move data from one instance of Outlook to another.

HTH

The howto/backupandrestore link has been very useful. Thank you.
A couple of issues:
1. I copied the .pst file to a CD - I am unable to uncheck the 'read
only' box. I get error messages and even if I check 'ignore' or
'ignore all' the file remains a read only file.
2. When I try to test the back-up file I receive the error message,
"Properties for this information service must be deined prior to use".
When I click OK I receive another error message, "File Access denied.
You do not have the permission required to access the file
OUTLOOK.pst.

I am signed on as the Administrator on XP.

Any insights or suggestions how I might test the back up file?
Sue
