Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder will reveal the location of
your Outlook Express files. Write the location down and navigate to it in
Windows Explorer.
In WinXP, Win2K & Win2K3, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options
Icon | View, or in Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | View.
Will the old drive be connected to the new machine? You can import then.
In OE: File | Import | Messages. Select Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and
Import from an OE6 Store Directory and point to the location on the old
drive
If you are going to backup to CD or flash drive, copy the files to the
desktop on the new machine, remove the Read Only attribute and import from
there.
Note that the backup /must/ include Folders.dbx or the import will fail.

I am about to move a neighbor to a new computer.
She currently uses OE as her mail client to access mindspring.
I want to move her Inbox and Outbox from her old drive
to the new drive. Searches on Inbox do not help.
