I called my isp + the nnt they gave me was newsgroups .comcast.net.
I followed all the instructions and when I downloaded newsgroups

windows ones could be found -I use windows xp help and support all

None of the Windows WHICH VERSION could not be found? Comcast
contracts their newsgroups service from Giganews who carry all the
microsoft.public.* newsgroups. Most likely you didn't enter the
correct string to find the groups you were looking for.
