Default How do you remove the "Previous Appointment" tabs in the calen

ok... after much playing around (because I have appointments or events on
nearly every date in the calendar for several months in advance), the
handles will be present if the dates visible on the screen (day, week or
month) do not have appointments or events. Add an appointment and the
handles disappear. You can't turn them off, other than by either adding
appointments to the calendar or using a view that shows at least 1
appointment. (i.e., if you prefer the month view, add a recurring event to
the 1st day of the month, if you like week views, you'll need an event on at
least one day of that week).

I'm only seeing one. Office 2007 was just installed last week.

Okay...how do I get access to my "default calendar" and can I change
the
defaults once I have access?

it's handy if you need to see the next appointment... I don't have it
on
my
default calendar at all. So its either not on the default calendar or
is
only visible if the previous or next appointment is outside a specific
time
frame. The calendars where I see the handles go months between
appointments,
while they are weekly on the default calendar.

I don't have more than one calendar visible. I have no other
calenders
to
check or uncheck. What is an overlay? How did the calendar acquire
the
handles? Why on earth did anyone think this "feature" was
beneficial?
Why
do they include such a "feature" without also giving a way to remove
it
if
it
isn't seen as a benefit to the user? Who is helping whom here?
Argh!
Programers! Not always helpful!

No, but they only show if more than one calendar is visible... so
either
uncheck the other calendars or overlay them (so the one with
handles
is
under the others). you may need to change views to make the handle
disappear
once a calendar has them.

I really don't see any use for the tabs and I find them annoying.
Can
anyone
help me remove them?
