You never import a PST file to transfer it. You corrupted your Outlook

Create a new profile from scratch and use one of the supported methods we
post here every day to transfer your data.

thank you for that. it made think lsightly outside of the box.
now this is what is happening.
i delete the existing profile from outlook. then i create a new profile.
name it and then it prompts me to setup the email (cox.net) i try and it
fails in the second part. which is the "Search for server
settings" i click cancel and i create a account with no email setup. i go to
edit the profile and add the cox.net account and that same data (.pst) file
is holding on to being the default delivery location????
I understand that this is a problem but i do not think this is the reson i
can't get server settings for their cox.net account. is it possible that i
didn't completely remove the profile. i am very pc savvy but this seams to
be getting a bit higher up there in the set up. or i am being retarded.
