You've placed your quote in the wrong place;
"d:\programs\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe" /safe
outlook.exe /safe should also work.

I tried to open in safe mode using the the leads on your website =
"d:\programs\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe /safe" in my case but
got
"d:\programs\microsoft ' is not recognozed as an internal or external
command, operable program or batch file" .... what am I doing wrong?

Does it work when you start Outlook in Safe Mode?
Start- type; outlook.exe /safe
on the Reminders pane (bottom right)
You mean the Task List in the To-Do Bar?

On opening Outlook 2007 (installed and working for 3+ months), Outlook
opens
and e-mails present (although not the most recent one) but on the
Reminders
pane (bottom right) it displays and then reverts to a scrolling
sequence
which wipes out all reminder details and then won't go any further ...
Outlook just hangs at this point.
After reading the discussion sites, I have tried:
- SCANPST on all pst files but this doesn't fix the problem
- renaming OUTCMD and EXTEND to force recreation - no fix
I have also tried restoring from backup the last Outlook folder (where
pst's
are stored) - taken one-week before this manifested - but same problem.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Cannot find anything
like
this on the net.
Cheers
