OE Store Folder Question

My "Deleted Items" folder is empty but looking at the store folder it
shows a deleted items.dbx file of 53 Mb. Also, I have another folder
containing only one very small message. It's dbx file is 50 Mb. How can
that be?
Separate question: Is there no microsoft newsgroup for OE7?
