Roady - Solved the problem by creating a new profile and then importing the
old pst data.
Seems to be working fine now. Still have no idea what caused the problem
and certainly scanpst or office diagnostics didn't fix it.
Your prompt assistance in this is greatly appreciated.
A big thank you.

I should add, I used Run/cmd and then the safe mode line

Does it work when you start Outlook in Safe Mode?
Start- type; outlook.exe /safe
on the Reminders pane (bottom right)
You mean the Task List in the To-Do Bar?

On opening Outlook 2007 (installed and working for 3+ months), Outlook
opens
and e-mails present (although not the most recent one) but on the
Reminders
pane (bottom right) it displays and then reverts to a scrolling sequence
which wipes out all reminder details and then won't go any further ...
Outlook just hangs at this point.
After reading the discussion sites, I have tried:
- SCANPST on all pst files but this doesn't fix the problem
- renaming OUTCMD and EXTEND to force recreation - no fix
I have also tried restoring from backup the last Outlook folder (where
pst's
are stored) - taken one-week before this manifested - but same problem.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Cannot find anything like
this on the net.
Cheers
