Default How to stop receiving files?

Oh damn...so no way to do this?

If the download is stopped and there were messages downloaded before the
large message, the messages will download again because messages are not
marked as downloaded until the download completes.

If you click Send/Receive, even if the process has started, there is a
dialog box with a Stop button. Perhaps that way? Or he could just
terminate the connection.

The result would be that the message is still on the server. I would
assume he has a message rule to Delete it from server for messages larger
than X size that is normally unchecked. If he checks the rule and
downloads again, the large message will be removed from the server and
not downloaded.

Friend is on dial up...from time to time he receives e mail messages
with large attachments. Once he starts to download such but decides he
wants to terminate it because eg the file is too big and is taking
forever to down load...how does he do that? He's with Orange Service
Provider and uses Outlook Express for mail.
Thanks.
