outlook cannot display embedded picture
I'm not sure since I don't use Outlook 2007, however it doesn't take much to
check the secure folder to see if you see filenames that end with "(99)".

Might try clearing Outlook 2003's secure temp folder. This folder is
stored under the "Temporary Internet Files" folder tree, so it can't be
browsed to by using Windows Explorer. I tend to use a command prompt to
get to said folder and clear it out using the erase command.
And here are the steps if the above doesn't make sense. (Assuming you are
using Windows XP)
1) Select Start Run Type: CMD.EXE OK button
2) Type:
CD \Documents and Settings\USERID\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary
Internet Files
3) Type:
DIR /A
4) Look for a folder that starts with "OLK". (e.g. You see a folder named
OLK91)
5) Type:
CD name_of_folder_found_in_step_#4
6) Type:
Erase *.*

What about Vista Ultimate and Outlook 2007, is the same thing possible as
a cause of the red x's. This has been bugging me since Dec/07 when it all
changed and now any Http/xxx or picture no longer shows. A real PITA
Thanks
