I am seeing this very same thing. From a Vista Business computer trying to
open a mailbox with Outlook 2003, which worked until yesterday, I keep
getting a "Connect to servername" window (authentication window) requesting
user name and password information for the Exchange (5.5) server. The correct
information is entered but ignored and the authentication window is
re-displayed.
I cannot add another profile for the exchange mailbox due to receiving the
same authentication window.

IP and NetBios setting are fine (as stated this worked until yesterday), can
ping the server by ip address and netbios name. Can do a net use to the
servers ipc$ no problem, just cannot get authenticated. I cannot find any
errors in the event logs of the client or server about this.

Any ideas?
