I tried the methods you referenced exactly as written.
No luck. Still no data found in the folders.
I still am leaning toward it having something to do with the new identity
being different then the old identity.
Isn't it true that OE6 will only import mail or open mail in folders if the
identity is the same?
If so then I need to discover how to "fool" it as I do not know exactly what
identity it was before the reinstall. I thought I had it but I must be a
little bit off.

new
identities. Copying all files inot new identity etc. no luck so far. Any

OS- WINXP PRO sp2, Outlook Express 6, Fresh reinstall, Cannot import
messages or caddress book.
Do to serious problems with system I had to reinstall windows. I have
it
configured in a multi drive configuration with the Operating System
(WinXP Pro) on drive C, the Programs on drive D, the Data on drive E,
so
the Documents and settings folder etc is on E. This is the same
configuration as prior to the reinstall. I ghosted everything over to
another storage drive prior to the reinstall so I have everything
backeup
pretty well.
Problem:
I cannot seem to get outlook Express 6 to import the emails or the
address book from the old setup. It says it completes importing the
"messages" fine but there is nothing in the mail folders afterward. As
to
the WAB it shows an error whenever I try to import it.
I have tried many different ways to do this. Could it be a problem with
identities? I do not know exactly what the old identity could have
been.
If you can open the WAB file you want to import by double clicking it,
do
so and export it as a CSV file.
