Default Outlook 2007 - default SENT ITEMS Folder

Brian Tillman wrote on Wed, 19 March 2008 13:15
Is there any difference in how you sent these messages, like the ones stored
in the IMAP Sent Items folder are those sent from within Outlook and those
in the local Sent Items folder are those sent by the "Sent To Mail
Recipient" function or those sent from within another program, like Excel?

I know from memory that one of my users often sends emails with attachments with the send to recepient function from word/excel, however the other user experiencing this problem on my system informs me that he only ever sends emails by either 1. creating a new email in outlook 2. replying to an email or 3. forwarding on an email message.

Looking at the contents of his sent item boxes both of them contain messages which have been newly composed so there doesn't seem to be a direct correlation to the emails that are mis-filed and the way the emails were created. Assuming what i've been told by my user is accurate.
