Default How do you create a postal letter to a contact?

Apparently it does not. Outlook is the only e-mail client installed on this
PC . I recently moved from Office 2003 to Office 2007. No other e-mail client
has ever been installed on this PC.

On this issue: When I added the address book icon to the Quick Access
Toolbar I was asked to select a profile when I first used the insert
function. Outlook was the only profile offered to select from. My point is,
until I ticked the check box on that window asking if the Outlook profile
should be the default I was getting the crashes.

Just reporting what I'm seeing... and what fixed it.

Thanks for suggesting the "new users" group, but I found the fix on my
own.

Outlook needs to be set as the default profile for the address book to
stop
the crashes.

So why wasn't it? Outlook always makes itself the default email client on
install unless you tell Windows to use something else.

Nearly 24 hours to get Office 2007 able to create a simple letter to a
contact. What an endorsement.

Well not really - that would have happened in ANY version if Outlook was not
the default email client...
