That's true. I agree that this is the case for the corporate work
environment. I however am working for a small business which does not take
advantage of Exchange Server. Microsoft has been very thoughtful in the past
and has catered to the needs of not only the enterprising corporate users but
the small business users, and even the casual home users. I can say myself
that this feature would be useful even for my own personal home use. As a
matter of habit I format my computer every four to six months to keep things
running smoothly, and I have the problem previously mentioned. I can't use a
roaming profile on a non-domain computer, so this feature would decrease the
time needed to restore previous data. It's not a huge huge issue that
developers need to stew over for several months, I just think that the open
and welcome environment promoted here in feature requesting encouraged me to
say something.

Typically, in a corporate environment you'd use roaming profiles (windows)
and the account would be there when the user logged on the machine. Or you'd
use prf files-either in a logon script or in the workstation image.
