Default My contacts do not appear in my address book

Most likely this will not work with Outlook 2007 since the option to remove
the service does not exist. User will most likely have to create a new
profile from scratch. They appear to have migrated their data incorrectly
and corrupted this profile.

I just switched computers. I was using Outlook 2007 on my previous
Windows XP computer. Now i am using Outlook 2007 on a Windows vista
system.

I successfully transferred my emails and contacts to the new computer. I
can see my contacts when i select contacts in the navigation pane on the
right of the screen in outlook.

However, i cannot search my contacts in two contexts. First, when i type
a name in the "search address books" bar on the top of the screen. Nor
can i search my contacts when i push the "to" button in a new mail
message.

I tried going to account settings Address books and add or change an
address books. Nothing seems to work. I would prefer not to set up a
new windows profile if that can be avoided.

Any suggestions?

1. Go once again to Account Settings | Address Books and remove your
address book.
2. Restart Outlook.
3. Go to Account Settings | Address Books and add new Outlook Address
Book.
4. Now ensure that the option "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book"
is checked on in the contact folder properties on the "Outlook Address
Book" tab.
