Default Safe Mode

Thank you.
Yes, detect and repair. I have just done a repair installation from the
disk and that hasn't worked either.
I searched for the scanpst.exe file and ran it with what i think is my
outlook data file and it came up with no problems.
Could someone tell me the best way to do a re-install rather than a repair
install from the disk - should I uninstall office first and start from
scratch or do l just put in the disk and opt for the re-install?
Many Thanks

When you say repair, do you mean detect and repair? Have you tried running scanpst.exe against your Outlook data file?

After furious head scratching, sylvia asked:

| Hello,
|
| Outlook 2003 has been working perfectly until today. All of a sudden
| will only start in safe mode. It comes up with outlook has
| encountered a problem - sorry for the inconvenience - do you want to
| start in safe mode and send an error report. This is the only way I
| can open outlook. I have done 3 repairs and 2 restore points but am
| still encountering the problem. I have not downloaded or installed
| anything.
| Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
