Default Calendar - Detail option

If you have a very full calendar and only need to see the basics, like when you have that meeting with your manager, the lower or medium views are of value for seeing what you have on your plate. For instance, I only need to know that I have a meeting (weekly) every Tuesday at 9:30 AM - I know what it is, a weekly unit meeting to catch up with my team.

However, I may have another meeting at 1 PM with my Div Chief where I need to see the details (where, what the topic is) so I turn on high details. This way, the calendar works for me, not the other way around.

After furious head scratching, Dave Horne asked:

| Because of a recent 'problem' - the setting of Detail had gotten
| changed, I was unaware of that, and in one particular kind of 'View',
| many of my appointments were not displaying. OK, I clicked on
| Details\High and all was well with the world once again.

| Is this a feature that has any benefit for the typical user? This
| seems like a potentially dangerous option, especially for an option
| that is out in the open so to speak. I've learned my lesson - it
| will always be set to High. (Going through life High is not an
| option for some, but I digress.) Is this an option that users have
| begged to have implemented? Just wondering.
