Thanks for response.I have already used DBExtract and recovered some of the
e-mails but most are corrupted. I have since run Registry Fix and Spybot and
am now recieving e-mails. Thanks again.

Outlook Express: The contents of my inbox have dissapeared. I have renamed
the inbox.dbx and a new inbox.dbx is created but still no e-mails appear.
Will I need to reload Outlook Express and if so, how do I go about it?
(Windows XP with IE7, SP2 and all updates)
I have copied the original inbox and tried to import to outlook express on
another PC but, although it goes through the motions no e-mails are
imported.
I can receive e-mails on that PC though.

Reloading OE won't help. The old Inbox.dbx is corrupted. Move to to a
folder that has nothing else in it. Use one of these tools to recover any
messages that may still be in it:
DBXtract ($7): http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx
There is also a free alternative to DBXtract, though not for DBXpress:
http://www.insideoe.com/resources/tools.htm#macallan
DBXpress: ($25) http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx
This is usually caused by someone interrupting the compacting process. If
you have SP2 there should be an Inbox.bak in the Recycled bin. Move that to
its own folder, rename it to a DBX extension and use one of the above tools
to recover messages from it.
