Default Transferring *dbx files

I'm in the process of clean re-install of WinXP. I want to save all the
Outlook Express *dbx files (Inbox, Sent Items, and some personally added
categories). Am I correct in assuming that I can copy the old *dbx files to
a CD, then install XP/Outlook Express, open up Outlook Express, re-create
the non-standard categories, close Outlook Express, re-boot the machine and
then copy the saved *dbx files over the newly created *dbx files. Since they
come from a CD, I should probably check the attributes to make sure they're
not read-only.

Is this the correct procedure, or are there any hidden perils that I should
be aware of ??

Thanks in Advance,

Hagen Sahm
