This person wouldn't have put the person in Blocked Senders, and he has no
clue what Message Rules are (therefore wouldn't put the person there). By
spam programs, do you mean anti-spam programs? And where/how could he
"search deeper"?

List? This has happened more than once to e-mails I've sent to a friend
(she had to remove my name from the Blocked Senders List, but she hadn't
put it there). Then recently it happened to another friend, he
discovered e-mails from a friend of his were in the Deleted Items Folder.
