Oops found the folder in Hidden Folders, Tried to delete the pst and
replaced with my backupcontents by changing the name to Outlook.pst, but
that didn't work ...Bob

Funny I imported my email addresses from Outlook express as the .pst I
saved from Outlook2002 into Outlook2007 ,I could not import it as a file.

them. I still have a back up file backupcontacts.pst from Outlook2002 but

are in:

Well I cant find anything past Owner/ but I did change the name of my log
from Owner to Bob, on so that may have something to do with it!
So is there any chance I can import this backupcantacts.pst in to
Outlook2007
Outlook2007 is telling me that my Address Book is: Outlook Address Book
MAPI, is this correct

To back up all of your Outlook data, copy the .pst file when Outlook
is completely closed.

The Outlook Address Book (OAB) is not an actual address book. It is a
container in which address books are added. If the property for a
contact-type folder is enabled, it can be added to the OAB container.

In OL2002, you can still create or add a Personal Address Book (PAB) to
OAB: Tools - Email Accounts - Add a new directory or address book,
Additional Address Books, Personal Address Book (you can add only one).
If you add it and no longer want it or added it accidentally: Tools -
Email Accounts - View or change existing directories or address books,
select Personal Address Book, Remove (the reference gets removed, the
file does not get deleted). Adding or removing a PAB requires
restarting Outlook before the change is effected.

Unlike contact-type folders where you can set their properties as to
whether or not they are included in the OAB and are stored within the
.pst file, PABs are external .pab files.

You sure later versions (2003 and 2007) actually removed the PAB feature
rather than just bury it where no one looks anymore? My guess is that
Microsoft simply changed the naming from Personal Address Book to
Additional Address Book; see:

I don't use OL2007 so I don't know what filetypes might be listed when
adding a 3rd party address book. They do mention about converted the
old PABs into records to add to a contact-type folder at:
