I just tried to use a Telnet session. I get a "Connect failed - Could not
open a connection to smtp.freeserve.com" error, using port 25.
As Michael suggested I tried ports 587 and 465 but to no effect. Have
Wanadoo got a bug?
There is no "Reference" header line in your post. If you already have a
thread going, it would be a big help to reply to the original thread
instead of starting a new one. I can't find any reference to Michael, or
why he would make such a suggestion.
My suggestion would be to contact Freeserve; they seem to be the ones with
a problem. Of course, they could just be non-responsive to "foreign" IP
address connections; "foreign" in this case meaning not a part of their
network.
