That's what the backspace key is supposed to do. It moves back a space
and deletes the character there.
If you want to move the cursor without erasing things, you use the
cursor keys.

Hello & Ty for the reply I'm new to this & a bit lost .. I don't tap
the
insert key, when I'm composing letters or replying to emails in
Outlook 6
when I tap the Back Space key to fix something or change it.. the
letters/
words in front, of the blinking cursor disappear.

Tap the Insert key once. Is that what the problem was?

I'm not sure how to explain this .. when trying to compose or
reply e
mails.. if I use back space to change something, it makes the
words &
letters ahead of the blinking curser disappear.. so that I have to
start
the
letter all over in order to correct anything .. anyone have any
ideas or a
fix please ? Thx, Katt
