Default share outlook distribution list

You didn't send any of the underlying Contact Records. Why would you expect
them to be there? All you sent was a DL. You got what you sent. When you
sent the DL, you broke the links to any related Contact Records.

Hi, I have a related issue.

I've created a Distribution List. I emailed it as an attachment. The
recipient opened & saved it to their oulook contacts. Whe we go into
their
contacts and open the list, its fine...when we click on the individual
name
to see their contact card/more information, its not there. We get an
error
message that its been removed??

What are we doing wrong and what would be the best way to share a DL?
Thanks!
Liz

There isn't any more detail.
1. Create a new message in RTF format.
2. Insert the DL as an Outlook Item in the message (Instructions: Insert

Item...)
3. Send the message to your recipient.
4. Recipient will be able to open and save the DL to the default Contacts
Folder.

OK, sorry, I'm missing something here. Can you give me a bit more
detail?

Thanks.

You're not sending correctly. Send the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF
message.

I maintain distibution lists for sending email to everyone in the
company.
When I try to share it with other users as I would a contact via
email,
the
person recieving it recieves it as an attachment, opens it and sees
the
distribution list just as I do. But, when the click save and close,
it
does
not show up in the contact list.

We are not using Exchange.
We are using office 07 and some 03
